My name is Laura, the author of this book. Together with my husband, Ovi, who brought the illustrations to life, we had the joy of turning a special story into a graphic novel. A sculptor and graphic artist by profession and a graduate of the University of Art and Design, I find inspiration not only in shapes and textures but also in words. My passion for writing has led me to this wonderful form of artistic expression, where stories come alive through images and text.
As children raised during the communist era in Romania, we experienced a time that profoundly shaped our childhood. Inspired by the desire to share fragments of that period and tell the story of a generation, we created this graphic novel. It is more than just a book; it is an invitation to explore the past through an authentic lens, full of emotions and memories.

The Illustrator: Ovi Farcas
Ovi Farcas is the illustrator who brought Lorinel’s world to life. A graphic artist with a sharp eye for satire and detail, he translated Laura’s memories into the bold, expressive panels that give Me and the Comrade its voice.
